The indispensable analysis of Darling Hammond’s thinking about the system of education in the United States of America indicates that it is inferior as in contrast to other countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and China (Darling-Hammond). She compares the system of education with other jurisdiction which is believed to have a tons more robust system and recommends a total overhaul. Hammond finds that the active structures have equitable funding, high-quality workforce, professional improvement and collaborations as the elements that United States education system lacks.
In the media changing the education paradigm, Sir Ken Robinson argues that there is certainly need to change the education system in most countries due to the fact of two reason; economic and cultural (The RSA). The financial angle asserts that children should be educated to take part in the economic activities of the 21 century and the cultural angle argue that children should be taught in search a way that they possess culture and identity that they can pass on to the next generation. However, he maintained that the current method of education cannot achieve that because it was designed, conceived and structured for a different age (Tuthill). He asserts that a different model of thinking should be employed in education.
On the third article, Doug Tuthill analyses the concept of public schools and the misconception that is in public domain about public schools. He asserts that the term public schools have been associated with free funding or government funding to the extent in which it can now be associated with low quality (Tuthill). He continues that there is need to understand that quality is a need in the public instructions (instructions given outside home). He maintains that the Public education should be redefined into an organization model as its method of customization.

Analysis

In analyzing the American system of education as inferior Darling-Hammond identify the level of funding between different schools and assert that it creates weaker classes which will have weaker children (Darling-Hammond). She has the opinion that the educator workforce in the USA is not of high quality due to very little or no mentorship done to teachers. Furthermore, she rates the professional development in the USA as below average and further calls for collaboration between teachers to enhance growth (The RSA). The argument further proposes the introduction of openly ended assessment rather than choices assessment. The limitation of her case is based on the fact that she does not explain why she holds the school of thought that regular evaluations should be abolished. Hammond criticism brightens the dark corner of the education systems which maybe be lightened when the recommendation he presents are implemented (Darling-Hammond).
Sir Ken Robinson sees only two reasons why we should change our education system; economic and cultural. Also, Sir Ken Robinson asserts that the current system of education was designed, conceived and structured for a different age. Robison analogy that the education process should be what we enjoy (anesthetic experience) rather than the process that we go through with unconscious mind (aesthetic experience). The other seems to understand the weakness of the current education system he says that it modeled in the interest of the industry and the image of it. Furthermore, he continues that just as the industry has different sections so is the school; when the industry produces in batches so is the institution to teach in batches. The author proposes changes in education; he suggests the learning should be done as a group and the element of dividing people and categorizing them into two categories as smart vs. poor should be abandoned (The RSA). I completely resonate with the author thoughts when he proposes the method of creativity and divergent as the model that should be used for education. Robinson introduces a system of education that is geared towards developing things that a learner finds imperative to his life; anything else second (The RSA).
Doug Tuthill in his view of the public school, he takes another dimension. He decides to determine where the lines are drawn between the public education and other forms that are not public (Tuthill). He asserts that any system that has the attendance laws that exists to serve the public purpose is henceforth a public education. Hence he continues that any knowledge that satisfies the attendance law of a state is a public education whereas one that does not fulfill the conditions is not. In his thinking, he includes the element of private school and homeschooling that are practiced in other states. The author asserts that by attending this school, one has met the states attendance requirement. He excludes the after-school tutoring as a non-public education due to the obvious reasons that it does fulfill the states attendance law. The author proposes the drastic changes in the education curriculum when he asserts that quality is indeed required in public instructions (Instructions given outside home) (Tuthill). The author has a valid point when he asses that Public education should be redefined into an organization model as its method of customization. Doug Tuthill assertions place more emphasis on the curriculum rather than where the curriculum is implemented; this statement may increase the cases of homeschooling in the United States of America to unacceptable levels.
