Why Do I Get an A for Completing This Extra Credit Essay?

Exams as a test of intellect have been the subject of intense discussion among education experts, academics, and researchers over the years. Surprisingly, both critics and supporters have had compelling arguments to back up their points. To be honest, I had never paid much attention to exams as a legitimate test of students' knowledge before recently, when I got a lower grade than I had predicted in one of my favorite subjects. Notably, considering my efforts, determination, and devotion, I only received 87.5 percent. I now see a mistake in relying entirely on test scores to assign ratings. While the score is fair, it is not a true reflection of the efforts that I had put in to pass the subject. Further, I do doubt my tutor’s ability to give exams, evaluate, and give each student an appropriate score. Despite my unsatisfying grade, I firmly believe that my tutor unconditionally trusts that students have the possibilities of changing their lives by mastering the subject. Notably, the course helps students become more competent, more skilled, and better selves. In tandem with this belief, the teacher has given us the chance of improving our grades by writing a credit essay. The following are some of the reasons why I believe I deserve an A on this subject instead of the 87.5% I got in the last assessment.

Since my first semester, I have grown to enjoy this subject tremendously more than any other discipline.
