Research About DNA
DNA, which is found in all living things, stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. DNA describes the molecules that exist. The order of letters in the code makes the organism unique. Genetics studies how and why traits such as eye color, hair color, and disease susceptibility are passed on from parent to offspring. It affects how unique each individual's traits are. The genetic information is called the genome and includes DNA. The way we explain the concept of genetics to the average person is that cells (the basic building blocks of life), chromosomes (made up of long strands of DNA), and DNA (adenine, thymine, cytosine) show and guanine ). The million cells available in human body and organisms should be shown in the video. Explanation of different functions and structure of the above should get dealt with in detail for example the organization of genetic information in thousands of genes in DNA. On inheritance, the audience should be showed how 23 chromosomes from the father join the 23 chromosomes from the mother during conception that is X and Y chromosomes (Klug et al. 7).
The question of allowing patenting of genes has been a hot topic for years. According to Wagner (2017), genes should not be allowed to get patented because it’s a threat to science (1). For instance, if companies are allowed to patent genes for medical purposes, other parties would not be able to use the information. Furthermore, if a production company patents a gene, they would charge it costly hence others will be disadvantaged. It is not right to patent something that was not invented; genes are a creation of God not human.
