William Bradford Tribute
The date of William's birth is December 17, 1937. William and Edith Kist were his parents. He was a brave guy who bravely served the country for 26 years as an Air Force meteorologist. He had also worked as an employee for the security division for fifteen years. He earned numerous honors as a dedicated member of the Boy Scouts of America, including the Silver Beaver, (Totenberg, 2001). He will always be remembered in the country as a sociable individual who people wanted to be around. Those who knew him well attest to this assertion, which is supported by his successful married life.
He spent fifty-five years with his wife, Nicki Kist, through whom he got his son. Between the year 1622 and 1656, he was a governor, a period that is marked by his selfless service to the country. During the same period, he was also the chief magistrate and also a great judge of the General Court. This is an admirable way of serving, in which few civil servants of today have attained.
He was a self-driven leader, through which Plymouth Churches succeeded in maintaining a clear standard, unlike the Massachusetts Bay Colony. This character enabled the church to survive through a period in which there were no other Presbyterian churches. He helped the church to push through the challenges since he was a pioneer of positive change. The current world is in need of such leaders who can confidently spear head devolutions and significant variations in the society, without the fear of facing discrimination, (Bradford, 2003).
William was a man of the people who had the interest of the citizens at heart. He was the one who came up with the idea of sharing the land even to the settlers. Companies initially owned the land before the primitive agrarian communism. He was able to identify different strategies that would make the country a better place to be. He led a group of four in the year 1627 who through negotiations came into an assumption that helped to clear the colony’s debt. The group helped the merchant's adventures to migrate, in an exchange with a monopoly of an industry that was involved with fishing and fur trading. However, the debt was not retired until 1648 when they had to clear it using their finances. This is an act of sharing that is rare in today’s world. The current debts that the country has can only be settled if the rich agree to dig deeper into their pockets. Research has shown that the middle-class earners are reducing at a high rate and very soon the citizens will either be classified as rich or poor. There is a need for leaders with a good heart, who can go out of their way to do all that is at their disposal to save the economy.
William involved himself in the separation of religious and secular concerns. He supported the church in laying the foundation of what was considered to be morally right. For instance, temporal affairs were not deemed to be part of God’s will for the human race. His contributions made permanent marks in the society that are used as a reference in the current age. He is one of the people that the country will live to remember.
