Work and love
According to attachment theory, as explained in Bowlby's studies on exploration, love and work exhibit comparable characteristics depending on how they are perceived. It is a circumstance in which an adult is attached to professional activity in the same way that a youngster is attached to the aspect of exploration. However, as Hazan and Shaver (1987) explain, romantic love is also considered an attachment process; a case in which an adult becomes attached or rather emotionally bonded to a fellow adult romantic partner in the same way that a child becomes attached or emotionally bonded to his or her primary caregiver.Based on the analysis, this creates a behavioral phenomenon where the partners are able to express their affections to one another. It is like a kind of haven were both are able to share from each other.
Basically, love has been existence since time immemorial. This is similarly the case to all aspects related to working environments and its requirements. Taking for example, people draw the love for work or become attached to their particular assignments basically as a result of its overriding benefits, for instance, wages and the need to stay engaged. In the case of love, this may be contributed by resulting intimacy or just the need to have a life partner. In both cases, each becomes satisfied in one way or the other.
Participants
The experiment involved infants and adults. In the first case, this are children below one year olds while adults are taken as those above the ages of 25 years. The infants were observed on how they react in both the presence and absence of their caregivers. For adults, predominantly all factors that influence their wellbeing both in bonding to their partners and in their work stations were taken into consideration.
Materials
There are no physical or rather special equipment used to carry out the experiment but rather though observatory techniques. Nevertheless, recording materials both for audio and visual as well as writing requirements were considered.
Procedure
The experiment begins by monitoring the special attributes infants show while in the presence of their caregivers. This are carefully recorded and compared to how they exhibit different behaviors while their caregivers are out of sight.
