The artwork of work shows a boy with warplanes on his hands. The face of the boy is that of the North `Korean leader Kim Jong-un. The boy is preserving two warplanes where one has the North Korean flag, and the other has the flag of the United States. Thus, the issue of the art is the ongoing conflict between North Korea and the United States.
The interplay with this photo calls for understanding each detail of the things that have been protected in the art. The first thing that caught the interest of the viewer is the face of the boy who is holding the warplanes. The Korean leader is known for his aggressive character of solving all issues, and that explains the reason he is holding planes in his hands. The next thing we see in the picture is the color of the curtain behind the boy. On the floor is what looks like the desert sand with two dead soldiers. More so, there are military vehicles on the ground showing that it is wartime that has caused deaths on both sides of the parties fighting. Missile launchers are also on the field, but the young boy seems not to care of the extent of the damage they can cause in both countries. The boy also seems to come from a wealthy family if his looks in the picture are something to go by and is very serious playing with weapons that can cause mass destruction.
Therefore, the first thing an observer sees id the face of the boy. Recognition of the face triggers remembrance of the events that are taking place between North Korea and the United States. Thus, the second things an observer sees are the warplanes and direction they are heading. For instance, the American military plane is facing the boy. The idea here is that if North Korea is hit, then they will also launch their missiles aiming the United States. The third thing we see is the red color of the background which signifies blood in war. Thus, without an understanding of who the boy represents and the purpose of holding firearms, it would be difficult to know why the background is red.
Fourthly, the reader sees other military vehicles on the ground and two dead soldiers. The dead soldiers indicate that in war both sides suffer casualties. The presence of desert sand on the ground shows the battleground that the disputing sides would be trading their arms. Finally, one distinguishes that the two dead officers are wearing uniforms of different colors. The different outfits show that all the parties will face the same fate when the war begins.
The shape of the art shows an atmospheric war zone that is likely to be triggered by the boy. The deep size of the kid’s upper part of the body indicates that he is the cause of alarm (Dewey, John 33). He seems to be playing with objects without minding their effects on human life. The lines on the ground are diagonal indicating that a battleground has its hurdles. However, the corners have straight lines showing that the war has been prepared for some time using lots of resources.
The curtains are red is a sign of the bloody North Korean regimes headed by Kim’s family. The narrative of the story is to create awareness that the boy is playing with weapons that may cause lots of damage.
