Regardless of the situation the decision of determining whether an individual live of not should not be left in the hand of anyone. People should live to the end of their life, and the death should happen naturally. The act of deciding whether a person should die or not can be termed as an act of suicide. People should not decide whether they should die or not. It is the cowardly solution the temporary issue that can be solved over time (Emanuel 85). When people choose to take their life, it leaves many families heartbroken, and the relationship between the household members may become torn beyond repair.

Primarily, people should not have the right to choose whether they die or not because God created people to be happy, live, and not to die because they are unhappy. Every individual goes through some bad time, and if they choose to end their life in such situation, then the continuation of life will someday come to an end. Moreover, God would be disappointed because He had put a lot of effort in creating people to enjoy life not to take it (Jung). Mainly pains come and go, and people will be blessed more they can wish for. People should not choose if they should die.

Death is something people cannot run away from. The study shows that 100 percent every person will die. However, this might not be a surprise, but the amount of money that is spent is. For instance, more than $50 billion is dedicated to hospital bill and doctors alone in the United States (Jung). This is because of several reasons that include, it is not moral to end an individual’s life, it is murder, it is the sanctity of life, it shows a lack of responsibility, and it is evil. The practice should be done away with to ensure that life is valued.

Physician-assisted suicide

Physician-assisted suicide id the method of killing an individual by the use of a person who provided the means and knowledge of doing so. Primarily, doctors or physicians can provide medication that will take the life of an individual (Emanuel 81). The practice is illegal in some states and legal in others. For instance it the united states it is practiced in Oregon, Vermont, Washington, and California.

Doctor’s ethical dilemma

The issue of physician-assisted suicide poses a dilemma to the doctors. Primarily, because is their responsibility to help improve the life of people rather than taking it (Jung). Secondly, the ethical issue raised by the concept of physician-assisted suicide to include patient autonomy, the means to which the doctor acted to the patient's interest, and the quality of life.

Terminal disease or suicide

People suffering from terminal illness experience more pain that they do from other disease or condition. This is the reason why people turn to another mechanism such as suicide to take their life. The question lies should people turn to suicide when they have a terminal illness (Emanuel 82). No, they should not, taking someone’s life because they are terminally ill is wrong and it not ethical on the side of the doctors as they should be helping the individual rather than taking his life.
