From my personal experience, I learned that there exists an intangible power that emanates from the spaces in which we either work or live. Spaces do touch and shape our interactions, perceptions, and behavior. When I entered into this office, space made me feel appreciative, perhaps a little bit jealous in my case, of the amazing persons who so artfully shaped that kind of visceral experience. I had made my first recruiting trip, as a creative director, to California to join ‘One Workplace.’ Within the first few seconds of entering the office, I felt that this was the organization that was doing the kind of work that I wanted, spoke my language, and shared my values. Surprisingly, I had not even met anyone. Culture refers to the way we feel, think, and interact with each other. Definitely, the One Workplace’s space shaped my culture, that is the way I thought, felt, and probably how I would interact with other individuals in this environment in the long run.
