The utilization social media has also ensured the development of new friendly relationships with people which have resulted in the availability of developing diversity and also benefiting as a result of the advantages of such diversities. Social media in recent times have also provided the benefits of awareness and increasing innovation to support people’s lives. Social media has been reputed for helping people to access new ideas and inventions all over the world, which they could also implement and benefits from, (Agichtein et al. 67)

Marketing benefits is one other effect of the use of social media in recent times. Social media provide an enormous opportunity to stimulate the sale products and services by a business owned by young people. Based on the availability of social media platforms in most of the countries across the globe is it becomes a possibility for companies owned by young people to create compelling brand awareness. Social media offers one of the most cost-effective mediums of digital marketing. Hence it is used by small businesses to stimulate brand visibility and spur sales for their products, (Hensel et al. 55). Businesses owned by young people also adopt the use of social media as a means of accessing information about the rate of customer satisfaction with their products and service, young business owners can seek feedbacks form their customer on such platform, such feedbacks are analyzed and improved upon in a bid to keep the customer satisfied at all times. Young business owners consider positive comments from customers about their product and service offerings as a step in the right direction for their business dealings, (Felix et al. 24)

In recent times, one the effects of the use of social media include youth addiction and forms of cybercrimes. Based on the fun-filled real-time experience associated with the use of these platforms, it has led to a kind of addictive use. There is need to note that almost all social media platforms have specific emotional, social, and physical effects on the development of youths within the society. Most member of the younger generation spends a considerable amount of their time on social media platforms. The behavior has resulted in a couple of adverse effects on such individuals. The adverse effects include incessant failing grades in school due to limited attention to studies, reduced physical communication as most times such discussions are done on social media platforms. It is also important to note that cybercrimes are on the increases base on the prevalence of the use of social media; such crimes include hacking and falsified identity, (Bolton et al.45)

In conclusion, it is important to note that the introduction of social media have borough some prominent changes into our world. However, such alterations also come with some essential effect such as increase social relations; increase marketing activates and brand awareness. The use of social media has also increased vices such as addiction and cyber crimes. Hence, factors should be put in place to suppress its adverse effects and actions should be taken to promote its benefits to the society.
