The Importance of a Good Doctor
In my home, two hearts have been healed
first, my sister underwent more than one open heart surgeries. I was three years old, and I thought that loving my younger sister enough would heal her heart. As such, I did all I could do to be the better sister for her. My brother also had two heart operations; at that point, I was old enough to understand and fear for him. These two experiences have allowed me to see more aspects of the personal side of medicine and understand the importance of a good doctor. My family history is what sparked my interest in health science; additionally, my encounters in hospitals have held my attention in recent years. I share the experiences of most patients, since I know how it feels to be helpless and the feeling of amazement after a job well done by physicians. In college, my motivation to pursue health science has increased, and I cannot wait to make impact in this field.
Evidently, healthcare and medicine have been a part of my life
and I am exhilarated that there is a chance for a new role in this area. I learned that more than love is needed to heal a heart or any patient for that matter. Therefore, I am eagerly awaiting the opportunity to learn all about health science in a way that will enable me to touch the lives of many. I still remember the soothing effect a reassuring confidence and a kind smile given by a doctor may have on the patients as well as their families. Moreover, the fascination that comes with healing a patient is more satisfying than anything else in this world. This is my goal and objective – to have an impact on peoples’ lives by offering my expertise and services in ways that improve their health. I believe what I have learned from my family and the many experiences over the years will help me become a successful physician.
