Healthcare professionals need to understand the system for professionalism in the job. They should always strive to offer continuously improved services to the patients as it is one of the goals in their principles of ethics. The implementation of professional codes leads to better service delivery (Raanan 185). This writing seeks to compare the health professionals' codes of ethics and their relationship with the healthcare profession.
To begin with, the mission of the healthcare system is to improve healthcare worldwide. Every individual has a right to proper healthcare. The mission is based on optimism grounded in hard work, desire for results and rigorous science (Raanan 184). The healthcare system values and seeks out people's knowledge, input and experience. They interact with anyone with a cooperative spirit, utmost respect and sense of humor. The institute is principled on togetherness, unconditional work and common knowledge (Keith 23). They are also transparent where they highlight their failures and successes and also thank any key contributor to the system. This mission connects to the healthcare ethics through its principles. The mission can only be achieved through the application of principles like accountability, compassion, and integrity. The purpose of the healthcare system should include carrying out projects beneficial to the community like sponsoring the less fortunate families (Keith 10).
The mission of hospital administration is to improve healthcare through the provision of sound leadership. It is based on values which include excellence, innovation, professionalism, collaboration, and diversity. They value the highest standards of excellence acknowledging accountability and achievements (Wright 9). Professional development and personal integrity are their key pillars for success. This mission connects to healthcare care ethics through its principles of integrity and excellence (Siegler 240). It applies them aiming at the achievement of the desired results. The profession is aligned to the healthcare mission through its principles to achieve its mission (Wright 4). The health profession can achieve the mission of the system through the application of its core values.
The common features of codes of ethics include a preamble, a professional values statement and a list of principles (Wright 13). The preamble consists of the goals to be achieved, the professional values statement describes the values of the health profession while the principles include the codes of conduct (Richard 1). These differences are there to improve and outline the reputation of the industry. The mission of hospital administration and healthcare system connect to my personal values through their principles. They entail core values like integrity, excellence, and accountability (Richard 2). The value which is more important to me is accountability which leads to transparency and trust from colleagues.
In conclusion, this writing has compared the health professionals' codes of ethics and their relationship with the healthcare profession. The profession is aligned to the healthcare mission through its principles to achieve its mission. The health profession can achieve the mission of the system through the application of its core values.
