Epistemology
Epistemology is a branch of philosophy which inquires about the ancestry, nature, method, accountability and the extent of human knowledge. Knowledge is the mental identification and understanding of the realism of a proposition through the process of reasoning logically. Any person who would purport to have knowledge must connect it with the reality openly. Otherwise, it will be regarded as a claim (Willard 87). In epistemology, knowledge about a proposition is said to be true if it satisfies the condition of truth, belief, and justification before its dispersal to where it is required (Bracken & Sean 2). It excavates the origin of a given knowledge and the methods by which that knowledge was arrived at and from these; one can separate the truth from the false.
A truth is the ability to show the state of an existence of something when it reality exists and nonexistence of something of something when it does not exist. Otherwise it will be called fiction. After you say that something is true, you must believe it is true. Otherwise, it will be contradictory to say that you know of something yet does not believe it is true. After passing the test of truth and believe, justification must be done through evidence possessed by the holder of knowledge. The rationale, however, must postulate the truth . Coherent and advanced epistemology gives a superior intelligent identity (Bracken & Sean 2).
Epistemology has a very significant contribution towards the lives of human beings. Looking for knowledge epistemologically makes the experience trustworthy ( Johnson & Duberley 1). If this is the knowledge will the following characteristics; first, the knowledge is reliable that is, it is not prone to change with time. One can use the knowledge to predict a practice with a lot of certainties. The verdicts made through such experience are valid, reliable, and just and are not prone to changes if a similar scenario reoccurs. False do not contribute to knowledge ( Johnson & Duberley 4). Secondly, the knowledge becomes a power to the beholder. It can predict accurately concerning the issues concerning the community of scientist and bring a solution to problems. When the community has rooted the knowledge, people can be able to relate problems and their solutions. It also set grounds for creating further knowledge. Third, the speed at which the community of scientist does an accurate forecast and efficient treatment increases. They can rush into solutions readily since they are equipped with the know-how ( Johnson & Duberley 5). Fourth, the knowledge can be used efficiently without the additional cost of time and money. If the knowledge is not trustworthy, a need of revisiting the interventions done today in future arises. It must, therefore, be validly proved which the role of epistemology is. Fifth, the Constitution of knowledge must exist. If a teacher teaches about a certain geographical feature, the learner should be able to locate that feature on their own ( Johnson & Duberley 9).
The knowledge scrutinized epistemologically does exist and what does not exist becomes not part of it. There the knowledge imparted to the learners or the community following the above benefits of epistemology becomes strongly rooted since they become aware of the source and methods of accusation and justifications.
