Dear Sir/Madam,
Ok, I hope you're doing well. My name is Lakeside, and I am writing to you about the article I recently submitted to your office. Sir, I would like to remind you of my decision not to pursue my critique of the Canadian Publishing Industry. In view of the article being submitted for publication, I would like to reverse my decision and recommend that the article not be published in any magazine or other media.
Having analyzed my conduct, I think I was irrational in choosing to condemn other publishers and the Canadian Publication Press as a whole. Publishing the article would have negative consequences on my professional reputation as a publisher. Writers and other clients would shun sourcing for my services for fear of their articles being rejected. I also believe the affected publishers would retaliate by criticizing my actions and encouraging clients not to use my services. I also believe that the Lakeside University Press is not perfect. The firm does not have experience of handling a great deal of work. Furthermore, some of the articles we have published have had minor issues that have been raised by readers.
I have also visualized myself being in the shoes of the other publishers who would be at the end of such malicious attack. Not only would their businesses be ruined but their reputation would also be dragged in the mud. The businesses are sources of income for many people and jeopardizing that would see most of them suffer together with their families. I once again asked that the article be ignored for the sake of harmony in the industry.
